Mannington laminates are created using a technique called Thermo Composite Construction, which makes use of tremendous heat and pressure to fuse five layers of a plank together in a single step, creating an exceptionally durable floor. The top layer is made of melamine resin, permeated with aluminum oxide. This is a material whose degree of hardness is exceeded only by that of diamonds. These laminates also have surface embossing, which gives it an impressive and realistic look of hardwood or stone.
